February 13, 2021 

  • Attendance- Mayor Patrick Parcells, Trustees Karen Kelsey, Clora Kelly, Ari Benacerraf, Brad Goldfarb, Vicki Weslek (village clerk), Wayne Bruyn (village attorney), Donna Ritzzmann (stenographer from Flynn Stenography, present on behalf of Timothy Hogue), Marian Brownlie, Yoshimi Kono, Eric Deutsch, Stephanie Deutsch
  • The meeting was called to order at 11:32am
  • Treasurer Report – Outstanding Bills Abstract
    • A motion for a resolution approving payment of invoices/bills to be paid was made by Brad and seconded by Clora. All Board members voted in favor.
  • A motion for a resolution to schedule a public hearing on a local law for March 13, 2021 repealing and replacing Chapter 180 – Trees and Vegetation was made by Karen and seconded by Brad. All Board members voted in favor.

RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Dering Harbor hereby directs that a public hearing shall be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. prevailing time, at the Dering Harbor Village Hall, Locust Point Road, Dering Harbor, New York, to hear any and all persons either for or against the following local law entitled:  “A Local Law amending Chapter 180 (Trees and Vegetation) to clarify the review procedure, criteria for removal of trees and update enforcement remedies and penalties.”

  • A motion for a resolution to schedule a public hearing for March 13, 2021 on a local law amending various sections of Chapter 230 of the zoning code updating definitions of lot lines, yards and lot coverage was made by Brad and seconded by Karen. All Board members voted in favor.

RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Dering Harbor hereby directs that a public hearing shall be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. prevailing time, at the Dering Harbor Village Hall, Locust Point Road, Dering Harbor, New York, to hear any and all persons either for or against the following local law entitled:  “A Local Law amending §230-4B (Definitions; Word Usage); §230-27, §230-34 and §230-37 of the Zoning Code to update and add various definitions related to lot lines, yards and lot coverage.”

  • A motion for a resolution to schedule a public hearing for March 13, 2021 on a local law amending various sections of Chapter 230 of the zoning code related to Uses, Accessory Driveways and Off-Street Parking was made by Brad and seconded by Karen. All Board members voted in favor.

RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Dering Harbor hereby directs that a public hearing shall be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. prevailing time, at the Dering Harbor Village Hall, Locust Point Road, Dering Harbor, New York, to hear any and all persons either for or against the following local law entitled:  “A Local Law amending §§230-7, 230-8, 230-9 and 230-21 of the Zoning Code related to permitted/prohibited uses, interpretations and accessory driveways and off-street parking areas.”

  • A motion for a resolution to schedule a presentation for March 13, 2021 on Village Architectural Standards was made by Clora and seconded by Karen . All Board members voted in favor.
  • A motion to adjourn at 11:41am was made by Ari and seconded by Clora. All Board members voted in favor.
