February 3,  2021

  • Attendance- Mayor Patrick Parcells, Trustees Karen Kelsey, Clora Kelly, Ari Benacerraf,  Brad Goldfarb, Vicki Weslek (village clerk), Wayne Bruyn (village attorney), Donna Ritzzmann (stenographer from Flynn Stenography, present on behalf of Timothy Hogue), Helge Skibeli, Marian Brownlie, Eric Deutsch, Bridgford Hunt, Yoshimi Kono, Susannah Rose, Alfredo Paredes, John Colby, Christine C.
  • The meeting was called to order at 4:07pm.
  • A motion for a resolution withdrawing Mickey Kostow’s ARB Chairmanship appointment was moved by Clora and seconded by Brad. Clora read a statement thanking Mickey for his service on the ARB and refuted in the strongest possible terms any suggestions that the Trustees are removing the chair to affect an outcome and that the ARB is not independent. She also clarified that her vote on this matter is for the history and heritage of the village.

3 votes in favor (Clora, Brad, Ari), 1 vote opposed (Patrick), 1 vote abstained (Karen). Motion passed.

  • A motion to appoint of Alfredo Paredes to fulfill remaining term of ARB Chairmanship was made by Clora and seconded by Ari. All Board members voted in favor.
  • Appointment of ARB Alternates
    • A motion to appoint Margarita Benecerraf as an alternate ARB member was made by Brad and seconded by Clora. All Board members voted in favor.
    • A motion to appoint Mary Walker as an alternate ARB member was made by Brad and seconded by Clora. All Board members voted in favor.
    • A motion to appoint Rob Ferris as an alternate ARB member was made by Brad and seconded by Clora. 4 votes in favor, 1 vote abstaining (Karen). Motion passed.
    • A motion to appoint George Birman as an alternate ARB member was made by Brad and seconded by Clora. 4 votes in favor, 1 vote abstaining (Karen). Motion passed.
  • Eric Deutsch read a letter into the record (see attached)
  • A resolution accepting the Suffolk County Multi-Jurisdictional, Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan 2020 was moved by Brad and seconded by Karen. All Board members voted in favor.
  • A motion to adjourn at 4:30pm was moved by Brad and seconded by Kare. All Board members voted in favor.
